A disturbing story was doing the rounds, most notably on the Drudge report yesterday, about a John McCain campaign staffer in Pittsburgh being attacked by a mysterious 6’4″ black man who allegedly carved a “B” in her cheek and told her “you’ll be a Barack supporter.” It turns out, she made the whole thing up.

Ashley Todd, a 20-year-old college student from College Station, Texas, has been charged with making a false report to police. Police now say they “doubted the story from the start.” In which case, why would Drudge, and others, take such a racially inflammatory and divisive story and smear it all over the internet?
Todd was working to recruit college students to McCain’s campaign. Police say it doesn’t look like anyone else put her up to making the false report.

Is it November 4 yet?
No, it’s not, you idiot. Check a calendar.
Unless you meant, like, November 4, 2007. Then yes, it is.
No, I meant 1963.
This is just like when I got drunk at the ATM on 38th and Hawthorne and someone drew a penis on my face.
