County Commissioner Jeff Cogen is running for re-election. His campaign will be boring because he will win. Although he does looks a lot like Tommy Carcetti from The Wire:
- COGEN AND COGEN, I MEAN, CARCETTI…NO…CARCETTI AND COGEN…
Still, just because the man is sure to be reelected, doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have a campaign kick-off with FREE PIZZA. From his campaign manager, Emerald Bogue, who actually does bear a passing resemblance to Theresa D’Agostino:
Jeff Cogen will be filing tomorrow, January 13th, for Multnomah County Commissioner — District Two.
We’re having a party to kick off Jeff’s campaign and to celebrate his 48th birthday (January 14th). Logistics are listed below. Jeff will be speaking at the event, and all are welcome.
· Wednesday, January 13th — 6:30pm to 8:00pm
· Curious Comedy Theater — 5225 NE Martin Luther King Blvd.
· Hot Lips Pizza — Live Entertainment — No-Host BarPlease feel free to contact me with any questions.
48?! Man looks no more than 34. 35, at a push. Bogue assures me that “pizza is free.” So, yeah…come pay your respects to The Cogue.

What is Cogen’s position on Hamsterdam?
Loves a bit of it.
Hmm, kinda seems wrong that they’re bringing in Hot Lips Pizza when Old Town Pizza is just a few steps from Curious Comedy.
I’ll cast my vote for a PDX politician who can say, “SHEEEEIIIIITT!” a la Clay Davis.
Pro Hamsterdam – “He was off to a Phish concert when I caught him on the phone.”
