Wow. Republicans are really scared of this issue:

It’s a real shame that the campaigns can control access to politicians like this, but good on Shaun Boyd for publicly calling the Romney campaign out on it.

  1. Our president has been disrespected more than any other ppl think they can say what they want about n to him cause he is African American…Everything he has tried to do has been met with so much opposition its ridiculous….yet he is blamed…what the hell

  2. I love black people. I would have stood behind Herman Cain because he is another successful businessman with a plan. I would have been very happy to see out his 9/9/9 plan. Unfortunately, he was ruthlessly attacked and subsequently dropped out the race. No disrespect, Doreen but this isn’t about race for me. I wanted hope and change to work. Obama went too far with his attacks and failed to work with other side enough to lead us all back to prosperity. Instead, we are now more divided than ever. That is a failure of leadership that has nothing to with Bush or Romney. Time for change.

  3. But no: Herman Cain was culled from the herd as anyone with no idea but Stupid Ideas generally is. That is something that should make you happy, if you are in fact the independent thinker and non-partisan non-zealot you claim to be.

  4. Stupid ideas are what must have made him a CEO. Huh. Is THAT how it works, Rich? The guy has a Bachelor’s in Mathematics. He knows numbers. He even led in the polls for a bit but then got slammed over sexual misconduct allegations. Yet you say he had “no idea but Stupid ideas”. Herman Cain is much smarter and far more successful than you can ever hope to be. What has Obama done for you? Is our country better off than it was four years ago when he promised “Hope and Change”? Feel free to go down swinging but people will know the truth regardless of what I say here and what the liberal-biased media will sell you.

  5. sjr- You do know that there is Congress right; Obama can’t just pass anything he wants; it first needs to go through the House then the Senate. Ahhh; but who cares about the truth!

  6. The truth is, chicostix, is that Obama, at one time (2009-2011), had the Oval Office, the Senate and the House and passed aggressive legislation such as Dodd/Frank and Affordable Care act despite the protests of Americans just like you and me and Republicans. The deficit has now gone off the charts. Obama criticized W. for the exact same thing when he was campaigning. America is not a dictatorship. We have separate gov’t entities for good reason. Obama hasn’t proven to anyone he can work with Republicans and now our economy is being held hostage for two reasons. 1. Lack of compromise from our elected officials and 2. Rich people are sick of being demonized for being successful and therefore they are unwilling to invest in America due to poor leadership from Congress AND Obama. You cannot sit there and poke at rich people and just expect them to take it. They create jobs. Blaming Bush doesn’t get anyone anywhere, either. That is a poor excuse after 3 1/2 years into your job.

These things can be sorted out with good leadership. Voting purely along party lines won’t solve much. Even when Romney is elected he will still have to deal with Democrats. If he fails to do so and our country continues to decline, then try again. I strongly believe Romney will get the job done or I wouldn’t be voting for him. We need to turn this all around and quit pointing fingers. We need more unity, sacrifice and compromise or nothing will ever get done. I’m an eternal optimist and I can feel a good change coming.

  7. Buzz wrong! He had majority in Congress for 1 year and 9 months. How does 9 months equate to 1 year?
Obama has bent over backwards to negotiate with republicans; republicans have done their damnest to not cooperate with democrats; republicans way of thinking is that if they actually do good by this country; that’ll make Obama look good; therefore they must not pass any jobs bills.

Yikes; you’re actually voting for Romney? You do know that Romney is not a republican or even a conservative right? He’s a democrat in disguise; he’s more liberal than Obama is.

Currently there is no real republicans running for presidency.
Paul Ryan; Mitt’s VP makes Barry Goldwater look logical.

  8. It is so not true what president in the history of America has ever been under this must scrutiny it totally unfair to him n I’m not just saying that because be is black…had he done even a minmal amount of what these other folks do n say he damn would have been tarred n featherd by now ..o seriously impeached n it only takes common sense to see this he had been done so wrong…if i were him I would just say forget it..rite is rite if he were not black n they treated him that way I would say the same thing for any human being…

  9. Hi. Belatedly returning to this one.
I’m gonna graph your response there, st. J:

    1. Actually, stupid people become CEOs all the time, through avenues such as nepotism, good timing, being born there, etc. That has nothing to do with what I said, though.

    2. Okay…I didn’t say anything about his college career, but okay…”Even led in the polls…” You know, that means that some people on the right fringe briefly thought it might be entertaining to watch this train wreck for a few minutes, right?

    3. You have no idea how smart I am, or even how smart Herman Cain is. As to the “more successful” thing; who cares? I have a job and a life. I’m happy in it. I have no desire to be a CEO anyway, so I win!

And the rest was just boilerplate. Look, I said that Herman Cain had stupid ideas. I meant the ones that he put forth during his brief time in the national spotlight, where he had as good a chance as anyone to be clear about his ideas and state them in a way that made them shine. Instead, he revealed himself to have little idea about the world, our economy outside running a corporation that sells pizzas, and even being a little unable to finish a fucking sentence. So don’t tell me the wrong man got done badly in that case. He had a chance, and he blew it. Hey! The system works, sort of!
