Stepping Out Showcase
This weekend, rapper, producer, writer, and artist Sole Context presents the first Stepping Out Showcase in partnership with local nonprofit Friends of Noise and its all-ages venue the Off Beat. The goal of the series is to celebrate a diverse range of up-and-coming artists who each have a unique creative vision and passion for sharing it. The first installment includes hip-hop, spoken word, experimental electronic-rock music, and a DJ set. It’s the perfect avenue to uplift Portland’s creative community and an opportunity to find your new favorite artist—even if you don’t jive with one performer, whoever takes the stage next could be a totally different genre that fits your vibe.
