LIVE MUSIC
SYLM #1: Odd Blossom, Sanity Please, The Kelevras, The Eye See Yous
Organized by local DIY promoter Guerilla Joy, the Support Your Local Music series kicks off this weekend at Bunk Bar with the first of eight shows, each featuring four local bands. The show opens with grunge group the Eye See Yous, who started putting out music this year, and the Kelevras follow with their fast-paced punk. Next up: Slacker rock band Sanity Please, who’s been playing music around Portland for awhile but just released their first single “Travel Girl” in June. Poppy surf rock band Odd Blossom headlines the night with danceable tracks off their recent debut full-length. The SYLM series is sponsored by Pabst, Xray FM, and Music Millennium, which is where you can find physical copies of the performing bands’ music. SHANNON LUBETICH
