A Celebration of Dolly Parton
September 25 is officially Dolly Day (Nine-Two-Five), and Portland will gather to celebrate the recently departed backwoods Barbie and Queen of Country with a queer, teased-hair, rhinestone-and-butterfly-adorned bash. Madam Cooper, a lifelong Dolly fan and the star of the recent Can Can Paris Theatre production Dolly!, will perform with her band Daddy Issues, joined by Dolly lovers Poison Waters and Storm Large, plus a few promised surprises. Come warmed up and ready to belt—the event will culminate in a grand group singalong that would make Dolly proud. BB
