COMEDY
Pete Holmes: The Pete Here Now Tour
You might recognize Pete Holmes from his semi-autobiographical comedy series Crashing, his stint as a regular panelist on VH1’s Best Week Ever in the early aughts, any of his six comedy specials, or his popular long-running podcast, You Made It Weird. But here are a couple of things you might not know: his original career aspiration was to be a youth pastor; he’s vegan; and his middle name is Benedict! Holmes’s brand of clean-ish comedy addresses the daily annoyances of life like Q-tips and social etiquette, alongside the bigger picture of philosophy and spirituality. Drawing from his upbringing and his own evolving perspective, Holmes describes his current outlook as that of a “Christ-leaning hooraytheist.” This new stand-up set, dubbed The Pete Here Now Tour, provides new material while maintaining his signature honesty, curiosity, and authenticity.
