—If you’ve got some money to put towards self-improvement—and by “some” I mean $566 (!!!!!!!)—there’s an upcoming wellness retreat/creative summit called Make Waves coming to Swift on June 13 and 14. Organized by Uli Beutter Cohen (a communication coach and creator of Subway Book Review) and Mariah Rich of accessories line Btwn Wind & Water, the weekend features guest speaker Emily Katz, Hush meditation, and “hands-on tips that you can use to inspire big shifts in your personal and professional life.”

—Speaking of big changes, there’s an intriguing project underway out in Joseph to restore the historic Jennings Hotel, complete with rooms transformed by seven artists in residence. It has a Kickstarter, of course, and rewards include things like inclusion in a time capsule, an exterior brick with your name on it, accessories from Wood & Faulk, and a month-long winter residency:

It’s the inspiration behind Circa’s upcoming June 6 (4 pm) Pedalpalooza ride, “Rollin’ Gold.” As the name would suggest, participants are encouraged to wear gold and ride gold on a route from the Crica showroom on NW 18th & Lovejoy to the Old Gold.
