I RAN INTO a friend at this year’s Linework NW, the annual illustration and comics fest. After the usual pleasantries, I said, “This might be the last great place to see authentic street style.” My friend replied, “Yeah, it’s like Ghost World come to life.” He was absolutely right. (So! Much! Green! Hair!) At Linework, no one was expecting to get photographed. They were just heading out to a comic convention as if it were any other day. But what I found, as an admitted comics outsider, was a refreshing, originally dressed crowd. I don’t think I’ve been as excited about any pictures I’ve taken as I am about these. So check out the pics already.
