THE CHOWDER, Resplendent.

Once again, I’ve culled the latest review‘s pictures from my spy camera and uploaded them here so you can see what I was writing about. Riffle NW’s chowder is a thing of beauty, one of the most satisfying $10 seafood dishes in town, rich with plentiful morsels of mussels, flaked white fish, scented beautifully with fresh tarragon, etc. The whole roast fish is meal for two, honestly, so at $27 or so it’s no puzzler, just pair it with a few sides. I thought this place was great, if spendy in places, and juggling a whole new shipment of seafood each day means there can be hits and misses as they invent on the fly, but the quality is superb.

  1. An Uni and quail egg shooter sounds and probably tastes awesome, maybe you should get a new restaurant reviewer with a bit more grown-up tastes.

  2. Frying is amazing. It transforms normally non-edible fish bones into crunchy snacks! And I’d totally do the uni and quail egg shooter.
