It’s glitchy as hell on my default browser (which is Firefox—it’s not so bad on Safari), but GreatBrewers.com released their beer-pairing tool today. It’s called the Beer Sommelier, and you tell it what kind of food you’re having, and it tells you what style of beer goes best with it.
Fr’instance:
Lobster? How about a hefeweizen, or a pilsner?
Risotto? You could try a Belgian pale ale or even a crisp saison.
Scrambled eggs? Wash ’em down with a Belgian white ale.
And of course both oysters and brownies go best with a nice roasty stout.
