We were all just happy to get Super Street Fighter IV when Capcom had to go burst another load over top our collective heads by announcing the most heavily anticipated fighting game that no one imagined would ever happen.

Taking a page from Screwattack’s customary “here’s what we wanna see in the game (and for some reason it’s more Mickey Mouse and less Bobby Drake)” video, I thought I’d take things one step further. I wanna know who you want to see in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

With Iron Man 2 hitting your collective comic fan brain stems right about now, I want to hear who you’d have in your ultimate Versus game. Anyone from either Capcom or Marvel is fair game, and just to make things more interesting I will be passing these suggestions on to a certain Capcom head of US fighting game community development.

I won’t claim that your picks will have any bearing on who actually shows up in the game — I’m magical, but not quite that magical — but how often do you get the chance to tell Capcom what to do? Unless you’re the amalgamated superbeing formed of the disembodied spirit of Jack Kirby and the possessed body of Yoshinori Ono, my guess is never.

So take a moment this morning, pluck your favorite obscure Marvel Universe fixture or forgotten former Capcom mainstay and drop a few sentences on why he/she/it should be first in line to kick Ryu’s ass next year.

(Double points for anyone who can come up with a good reason to include Baby Head.)

    Capcom: Super Joe, Amaterasu (Okami) and keep Strider

  6. Deadpool’s been announced. He has a teleport move that breaks when you spam it, and a special move where he pulls down the health bar and beats you with it.

    Captain America, Morrigan, and Dante from Devil May Cry are also in.

    I kinda want FrankenCastle in the game.

    Screw Deadpool, he doesnt matter in the marvel universe, hes just comic relief. He doesnt even have a fleshed out actual power…. Archangel? or Magic (with soul sword) Mamomax? heh

    BAT was created by Playmates and Sony Interactive. Still, you get esoterica points for actually remembering those characters — and forcing me to recall all those hours of my preteen life spent fighting against the little clawed bastard and his rolling fireballs of doom.
