Dear White Males,

For the love of all BIPOC folks. Please stop white man-splaining when you get caught making an inappropriate comment like “wow, that name is a mouthful.” Please stop sharing your reasons why you are disenfranchised while you sip your Starbucks and talk about how color doesn’t matter “black, white, or green, it doesn’t matter to me!” Please don’t back peddle when someone holds you accountable for your racist notions and claim that they are judging you. Please go educate your small, small white brain.

  2. As a BIPOC woman, I would like to point out OP that the BIPOC community isn’t exclusive or can take complete ownership over names that are a “mouthful” as you’ve put it. I’ve also heard plenty of names of Caucasian

    /Eastern European/Western European names that would be considered a “mouthful” and I’ve heard many humans of our own community say “that is a mouthful” to such names. While the rest of what you are complaining about is completely valid, your first gripe is truly reaching into ankle deep waters. If that is such an issue, check your own community and quit acting like our own community (for such a petty complaint) is above reproach in that department.

  7. @8 Maybe there are people who reported your comment who weren’t amused by a white guy who was doing exactly what the OP was asking others not to do: whitesplain. Maybe if you weren’t so concerned with how your stupid responses look lined up, you’d get it. Yet here we are.
