The level of corruption at the US supreme court is staggering, just based on what we already know. Apparently two of them have spouse who run “consulting” businesses and accept payments from others who have “interests” before the court. Listen, we can respect it when spouse want to be separately recognized for their own careers accomplishments, but that’s not what we are seeing here. Can you imagine what would happen if an Oregon Supreme Court Justice had a spouse who operated as a political consultant and took payments from corporations and others through out the state? How quickly would it take for our Democratic majority to take action to examine even the ethical harms of such a situation? … Okay, bad example. But what if the ORDOJ had Attorneys with political consultants spouses supervising departments while their spouses are engaged and accepting payments from shady goings on? … Okay, maybe that was a bad example too. But it’s not like the ORDOJ has an obvious conflict of interest from investigating the corruption of their fellow democrat Secretary of State? What!? And the Governor too!?

  1. With all this talk of delaying Ukraine’s membership into NATO, it makes you wonder if Oregon could ever meet the democratic and anti-corruption standards for the organization…
