Is it me or does this story about Disability Rights Oregon sound all to familiar. An Organization that is supposed to serve the most vulnerable in our community, a non profit organization that is led by a CEO making 5+ times the amount of the boots on the ground workers who don’t make a living wage but the CEO pay keeps increasing. This I just like many of these organizations that “support” adults with disabilities. You have low paid workers doing difficult and necessary work for our community but there is a few people at the top taking credit, being paid insane amounts (funded through medicaid) while doing very little to actually support this community. Don’t get me wrong, I support people getting these service but like many of these industries and systems we need to cut the CEO fat in favor of workers! Pay workers! Make better guidelines for these industries that won’t allow for one CEO to funnel public money into their pockets while the people it was meant to serve lose, workers lose and our community suffers. Shame on the CEOs.—Anonymous
