Most people agree to the 40-hours-a-week (or more!) drudgery, most jobs being either too stupid/boring (useless cubicles) or too hard (picking fruit or construction/labor, especially in high-heat)–and unnecessarily so, when technology can reduce the burden of work done by people maybe 90% or working smarter, such as reduced hours and increased efficiency; we’ve known taking away a day of work each week increases productivity yet almost no company does it. Not to mention the commutes, which create bottlenecks of traffic in the morning and evening when shifts–shorter shifts–could be staggered but aren’t. Then there’s most of the profits going to the top 1% and workers barely surviving and for what? An exhausted weekend filled with toxic foods and people bitching about how life sucks but never rebelling against the prison system the tyrants persuaded the slaves to believe in.—Anonymous
