EXCLAMATION POINT!
Has to be the most petty issue around.
You truly get to see someone for their greed and entitlement. It’s the hurt that leads to the greed and entitlement if they aren’t already greedy, heartless, and entitled people to begin with. Most don’t have this vain of an existence in families. Then again, I think I happens more than I would want to see. I can embrace the hurt. And I’ll bet most people think they’d never be the type to sue.
Friends and families hold this bitter grudge to the day they die. It’s truly upsetting, but it’s really sad. Some people will not budge when it comes to what they feel entitled to, especially money. The estate. The inheritance. Whatever leads to money!
Love, even, will not overcome. Love, for crying out loud.
The saddest is when friends and families take it to court and litigation.
I know now. You can see it everyday on court TV. Never I thought. But people do it. People don’t care about blood and love. They care about the dough.
2 people that used to talk everyday no longer communicate.
How can this be? Then they will die with this between them.

So how much did you stiff your family for? Are they really suing you? You must have got them good.
I think you need to tell people you have hurt you are sorry. It has to start somewhere. Sometimes if you care about people that are estranged; there are two sides of the story. This sounds personal, and maybe you are just a victim of the cycle of life. People who only care about the dough, are worth forgetting. Move on, don’t lend anymore money.
Mamma always liked you best, eh?
I have relatives (women) that use LOVE as a way of measuring how much money they’ll inherit. It starts with one “Happy Birthday” email (semi long) and concludes with the last sibling sending an email 3 times as long with nothing but blessings and happiness for the entire family. It makes me sick, but they gotta one up each other or they’ll be left out of the $$$ when the parents pass.
