Customer loyalty cards, join us on facebook, tweeter and whole cyber world. Earn rewards points, extra rewards for joining, special offers just for you. So long as you use your club card, meta data and all that bullshit. Just stop with it all, I am a person and I feel that I am being stalked by big business.I do not want to join a club or carry a card, I just want to shop and spend my money as an anonymous person. I would like to know just what happens to all that customer data that is collected, I know there is a market for the data itself… so what does that make the people that make up the data? Information, a marketing tool, or just one more wallet to get into. I shouldn’t have to wonder in the store if the cameras are for theft prevention, or a tool to enhance a sales pitch down the road.
Something is wrong with the world when I don’t have cult card at the check out and people look at me like I escaped from the carnival side show, I can see the pained look on the cashiers face, the arched eye from the people in line with me, and the cold stare of the manager watching over the cashiers. I am not a freak folks, just and man that thinks. I am thinking Orwell was pleasant dreamer and even he would be repulsed by what the world has come to.
Wake up people, this isn’t a dream your not being helped along, your being moved along.
Stop stalking me.

You really have a chip on your shoulder. A tracking chip. We implanted it while you were sleeping. Be seeing you!
Orwell never saved 60 cents per gallon of gasoline with a Fred Meyer rewards card.
Corporations hate inaccurate information even more than a lack of information. So trade the rewards cards with your neighbors and don’t be shy about “embellishing” the information you give initially. A different middle initial or differently spelled last name can work wonders. Or just boycott and pay the full price in cash. Who cares if people give you the “arched eye”?
Arched eye for a naked dude walking into a store, not someone lacking a QFC card.
people who use their brain will go crazy. Capitalism used to equate to incentive to produce in a production economy…now days it’s just a tradition of selling each other on shit we don’t need, all the while people are more concerned with being up with the joneses and bitching about what they cannot change rather than thinking that maybe, just maybe, the power is right here between you and I. It’s somewhat laughable how we could easily swipe the rug out from corporate america if we shared resources but the trick is getting people in a position to do this. For me that means infrastructure; people are separated and therefore quit communicating and sharing resources with each other making them easier to control and making it possible for one class of people to capitalize off of the lack of sharing from the other; Rich get richer and poor get poorer.
This is a depressing thought because no one else seems to be on board (I figure I’m crazy or stupid but either is better than being a brainwashed pacifist)… Cheers to america- “everything is awesome!”.
You think Big Business is bad???
I’ve got Rick Klein stalking me on Facebook and I don’t even have an account.
Your world is scary, but mine’s scarier. I’m actually considering changing my moniker to John Doe thanks to that little cad.
^ Better that you’re stalking adults instead of children Klein. At least I hope you’re not stalking children.
I should have just Looked for you on ok cupid as you seek someone to love you ๐ณ
