[Got an anonymous confession or rant you just have to share with the world? Submit it to I, Anonymous HERE!—eds]

When I share what I’m doing it is because I genuinely enjoy it or am proud of the work. I’m not flexing on you or looking for praise. I am just excited to be here doing anything that brings me joy. When I share music or art it’s because I want to share the joy with you and connect. When I’m nice to you it’s because I genuinely hope you are doing well and want to contribute to your happiness. Maybe I come of as fake or whatever other reactions people have when I try to be kind and myself. It is so off-putting that people shame and shit talk people for enjoying their life and wanting others to feel the same beauty and joy. This world is shit enough without you all needing to stew in drama. Try being interested in the good. Talk positively about the people you surround yourself with. Talk positively about yourself! It really matters! When you start to become miserable it’s because your “friends” like to “joke” about how shitty you are and then you start to believe it. Or maybe you “joke” about this and it starts to stick. Let’s all try and change our communities to uplift those around us. We are all collectively grieving the world around us while still experiencing the general grief that life provides. We need people in our lives that can say they enjoy us as humans. We need to be our weird ass selves and be welcomed to share it. Know that I’m over here loving you for you even if you feel like shit. I’m not going to participate in the shit talk. I honestly think it is foundational to the problems we currently face in this world. If you want to judge appearance, life choices, and how someone deals with grief you may as well hop on the Trump train and identify as a “Normie” with the conservative trying to take over the state. How you treat people and the things you say in your friend groups matters! Lead with love and support and watch our communities change ❤️—Anonymous
