Losing a pet is terrible, especially when the humans in your life are terrible. But when Fluffy doesn’t come home for 3 days and the terrifying reality that she’s not coming back starts to settle in please don’t drag the rest of us into your grief. Please don’t litter the neighborhood with your homemade posters of your cat that you will stay there until the ravages of time tears them down and blows them into my yard. If you are doing this for your children, then it is time to teach them the realities of life and death and not to litter. Those nine lives can be extinguished quickly by the cars, trucks, busses, dogs, raccoons, coyotes, rat traps, and the myriad of poisons lurking in the big city. Please embrace the reality that your cat is dead and then please grieve your cat’s death with those who care.

P.S. Cats are environmental disasters and are not clean.

  1. Wow that’s a long winded way of saying you hate cats. And floating over the dead too, man, look at you. On a roll in finding all the ways to kill a cat. Reminded me of what they say about young serial killers. In any case your advice is wrong I found a cat the other day and called the person who put up the poster. Cat has been missing for over a month but was getting by just fine, living a pretty cool cat life.

  2. Dogs are nasty. They shit, squat and leave it. They make noise. You are incapable of loving and need a dog to stroke your needy ego. People are responsible for abandoning cats. But, like you, they fail to do any self-examination, and fail to take responsibility for themselves.
