It’s infographic-o-clock! My favorite time. Anyway, the Guardian pieced together a visually pleasing graphic breaking down gay rights in each state. This is somewhat weird, because the Guardian is a UK paper, but hey, thanks!

Not only does it color-code each state’s level of acceptance, but the version on its website fills you in on each segment. Split up by region, the chart shows Oregon as the second most accepting state in the Northwest. Of course, first place goes to recent gay marriage welcomer, Washington.

The Northeast takes the cake for offering the most gender-equal programs. Except for Pennsylvania and Delaware. Get on board! Of course the Southeast is a bummer. But hooray for Arkansas for allowing same-sex adoption!

Check out the complete online version here.

  1. Gays already have rights. They want to change society to suit their dangerous lifestyle. I think it is especially hilarious when they compare their agenda to the plight of blacks in centuries past. When were gays ever enslaved on a plantation? Only in their inner most dreams. I’ll never vote for gay marriage because gays didn’t invent the institution and personally I’m really bored with all the tired arguments from people who are known to lie on a regular basis.

  2. Will you fucking die already, you pathetic piece of shit?

We get it, you’re a proud bigot. Your mom must be proud.

    Kill yourself, you sad motherfucker.

  3. At #2: You seem to be very mentally ill. Thanks for proving my point. And I’m not a homophobe. I’m not scared of liars and cowards who want to bring credence to their dangerous lifestyle. Gay men are 50 times more likely to spread AIDS than a heterosexual male. They have no business talking to people about morality or changing marriage as it has been for centuries. Looks like I’m not the one who is killing myself. And quit being so fucking lazy and make a profile. Nothing worse than a lazy, liberal pussy.

  4. I ALWAYS LOVE THE “‘HOMOPHOBE’ MEANS I’M SCARED OF TEH GAYS AND I AIN’T SCARED” LINE. GET A FUCKING BOOK.

  5. Thebadsteed presents a good example of why anti-gay bigots have to be confronted head-on; as long as those views are acceptable within their own social group, they’re allowed to flourish. And views like that pose a direct threat to the health and safety of LGBTQ Americans and Americans who are HIV-positive. We have a right to defend ourselves – and I can only hope that CeCe McDonald in Minneapolis did.

  6. @#8 Oh the drama. It’s sooooo precious. Look how you love to take the moral high ground, you crusader you. I don’t hate gays. What bothers me is when gay people start bullying others to accept their dangerous lifestyle. Big difference. I don’t care what you do at home. YOU are the people who need to be confronted head on. You try to lie and manipulate the media to force your lifestyle upon others. I think comparing your agenda to actual civil rights is a fucking insult to blacks and women. You know, I don’t agree with Fred Phelps, either. I just don’t think gay men have any business trying to dictate to us all the true definition of marriage when they didn’t create the institution. You want marriage so you can fucking destroy it. Just like you destroy yourselves. Look at the CDC figures. You have no business bullying people into accepting a dangerous lifestyle like that. So you can fuck yourself, #8 and get used to people like me confronting you about your bullshit. It’s time to take this country in a new direction. One where heterophobic bigots like you leave straight people alone and accept their lifestyle as normal. Sound familiar? Idiot.

  7. The sad news about the Arkansas law that allows gay adoption is that it only exists because when they voted to ban gay adoption, the same law also banned unmarried people from adopting children. So it was overturned.

  8. Really is evidence we are at a minimum two countries, and the Civil war’s outcome probably wasn’t the best for either side short or long-term.

  9. @KOLLONTAI: YOU ARE AWARE THAT CECE MCDONLAD ACCEPTING A PLEA BARGAIN AND HAS BEEN CONVICTED OF MANSLAUGHTER, RIGHT? SHE’S NOT GOING FREE ANYTIME SOON (OR AT LEAST NOT BEFORE THE YEAR 2015).

  10. @thebadsteed, why do you care if a gay couple marries? How in the hell does it really effect you? Your AIDS statistics are bullshit, and you CDC reference is very ironic. Do you know why gay people (particularly men) have higher substance abuse and suicide rates? In no small fucking part due to intolerance and bullying by assholes who feel like you. Bet that makes you feel good, eh? Fucking jerk

  11. I’m not the intolerant one here. Gays are completely intolerant toward religion and hetero couples who value marriage. Gay people want to make a mockery of marriage because they are vicious, mentally ill people. They think they can bully people while cowering behi9nd political correctness and hate crime protections. That is the actual definition of bullshit. So while you’re thinking yourself cool for becoming a mouthpiece for this dangerous lifestyle, let me educate you a bit. My statistics are facts. I didn’t make them up. Do the research yourself. Gay men have no business redefining marriage to suit their own dangerous lifestyle. You’re just upset because I tell the truth and you can’t fucking do a thing about that. Fuck you back, moron. Grow the fuck up and realize that hetero families are the best of America and churches actually help people on a regular basis. Gay people are too selfish and stupid to understand what builds a good community. Look at how Portland is suffering under the weight of all the stupidity from people just like you who want to watch it all burn. Because you are selfish and stupid. That is why you will lose in the end and I’ll never EVER vote for gay marriage.
