Polls of Oregon voters last year showed that about 48 percent of us support same-sex marriage in the state. Basic Rights Oregon decided that those poll numbers weren’t good enough to stake a campaign on for a statewide constitutional amendment to okay same-sex marriage in 2012. We’ll be waiting until 2014—at least—to vote on the issue.
