Generally speaking, I see what those rich out-of-town owners at the Oregonian tell us to do.
Then I do the opposite.
For a real treat look up Saltzman’s contributor info at:

Then you will really see how much $500 buys you in this city.
April 8, 2010: Merritt Paulson. I thought he NEEDED the city money, not in a position to give the city (candidates) money.

who takes the OREGONIAN seriously? don’t forget they gave rightwing nutjobs like David Reinhard plenty of opportunity to puke ink all over the pages for far too long, and if memory serves me, they even had a frequent Op-Ed writer as “crime expert” who wrote shameless pro-cop pieces that was himself a killer-kop, a former PPB spokesman, a cop apologist par excellence and was fired by the Very Cats for fibbing on his expense reports. now think about it…if the guy would steal nickels ‘n’ dimes from the citizens via expense account chiseling, what makes ’em think he’d be telling the TRUTH when it comes to “crime expert” jig paid for by the OREGONIAN?
Clearly the Oregonian is swayed by his “beat hippies and negroes” platform.
What a world. What a fucking world.
Number Six, it’s what we call a “revolving door,” and it’s exactly what’s wrong with City Hall right now. I say we vote in the publicly-financed candidate and do away with Merritt Paulson’s golden ticket.
So pardon my ignorance, but if Saltzman gets less than 50% it forces a runoff in November per my understanding; do all candidates then advance to the runoff or is there some minimal level of support they have to reach in order to qualify?
@question time
If a runoff happens it’s the top 2 candidates.
I was looking for somebody to endose me this weekend.
