If you need a side hustle that provides extra cash, for just a few hours a week, and gets you outdoors, then join the few, the proud, the Mercury Delivery Squad! Check out the description below and see if this is the right job for you (or someone you know)!

The Portland Mercury seeks independent contractors for newspaper delivery routes. Full routes and intermittent substitute coverage work available. Must have reliable truck/van/or SUV. Delivery is every other Thursday with a start time of 8-10 AM and then delivering until completed, usually 8-10 hours. Route delivery experience preferred, but not necessary. Competitive pay, independence, and delivering to people who are actually happy to see you make this a very fun and rewarding part-time job.

If interested, email publisher@portlandmercury.com and put “Mercury Delivery Job” in the subject line.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
