As you may have read, Netflix is killing it lately thanks to their recent team up with Disney, and now they've scored again by picking up the exclusive U.S. rights for the French animated flick, The Little Prince. From The Verge:

The Little Prince, which is based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s story of the same name, follows the journey of a young prince on an alien planet, but expands on the story by adding a frame narrative following a young girl just learning about the prince's story. Starring Marion Cotillard, Jeff Bridges, Paul Rudd, and other big names, the film originally debuted at Cannes last year and was slated for a Stateside release this March. However, Paramount, the original distributor, dropped the movie at the eleventh hour for unclear reasons. It didn't take long for Netflix to then swoop in to pick up the distribution rights.

The Little Prince debuts on Netflix on August 5—but check out the trailer. It is simultaneously adorable and GORGEOUS.
