I’m ashamed to admit it, but despite 20 or so years spent longingly staring at its VHS cover art, I’ve never seen Krull, 1983’s film that promises “a world light-years beyond your imagination.” (If Wikipedia is to be believed–and why shouldn’t it be?–Krull was also supposed to be an official Dungeons & Dragons adaptation, until, for mysterious and/or ominous reasons, “the D&D license was either lost or dropped.”) Anyway, I am well aware that not seeing Krull has caused a pretty serious deficiency in my life–a gap, if you will, and a gap that I aim on correcting this evening.

Fucking A. I can’t wait. Krull screens through Thursday at the Laurelhurst (2735 E Burnside) at 9:50 pm.

  1. I hadn’t watched it until a few weeks ago. I saw it as one of the on-demand options on a friend’s tv, and I decided it was finally time to watch it. I felt bad about forcing my friend to watch it with me, though, since I’m sure it wasn’t her cup of tea, and it was pretty bad.

  2. How can you not have seen Krull?

It is only the best movie about a whiny prince, a centaur who can see his own death, and a kid who likes candy that was ever made.

You know, other than those Harry Potter movies I guess.
