Awww — much too harsh on him Erik.
That commercial wasn’t much better than the original movie.
YEAH, I SAID IT! LET’S FIST FIGHT!!!
YEAH, ERIK, it’s not Matthew Broderick’s fault that he’s a pale, paunchy shell of his former youth.
Give him a break – It must be hard having a horse as a beard.
@NARS: CoTW
Steve – you’re going DOWN!
Save Ferris.
Watched the movie recently and I don’t understand what tweeny me got all excited about all those years ago. It’s actually an incredibly slow and stale film, despite the dancing.
Ok, now I know what Erik felt like when I stated the objective truth that Jurassic Park wasn’t so great on re-viewing.
That is, a whole lot of irrational rage at Steve and that other person who don’t like FBDO.
I’m pretty firmly in the “it’s a better movie if you believe that Ferris is Cameron’s imaginary friend” camp.
I don’t like that. It’s like he didn’t even try.
Steve’s just embittered because his favorite line from the movie (“Do you have a kiss for daddy?”) never seemed to work on the ladies.
you did warn me. yet i watched it anyway, and had the inevitable uninteresting comment of “oh, that’s sad”. please don’t post things that are sad without being funny or interesting at the same time. i will watch them. and i will be sad.
Oh, like you wouldn’t have done if you were Matthew Broderick… Let the guy mine his past and make some coin once in a while. Anything that keeps the Inspector Gadget franchise from growing any larger is just fine by me.
I have “Love Rocket F1-11” on 45.
If they’re going to remake classic films into new commercials using old actors, then how about that scene from The Outsiders in the hospital with C. Thomas Howell and Ralph Macchio? BURN VICTIMS SELL CARS.
