If I ran a movie studio (RIGHT?! If only! Who else wants Dirty Work 2: Dirtier Work?!), the person I’d hire to run my marketing department would be io9’s Garrison Dean. Dean made that amazing 2012 trailer a while ago; last week he cranked out a great ’80s-riffic credit sequence for Firefly; and now he’s crafted a trailer for The Expendables that eloquently, powerfully shows why any man who gives a shit about movies shouldโ€”nay, mustโ€”see the film on opening weekend.

The consequences of us not doing so, my friends, are simply too gruesome too imagine.

By the way, the only thing I’ve heard about The Expendables from someone who’s actually seen the film is that it’s “insanely, CRAZY violent.” Yes.

  1. Van Damme was offered a role but turned it down. So was Wesley Snipes but he’s not allowed to leave the States. Who needs ’em? Hopefully this will kick ass.
