Last night’s Oscars? A whole lot of crappy showtunes and breathless self-congratulation. (And chicks dressed up as fish.)
Thankfully, there was also this—a short film by Judd Apatow that highlighted some of the comedies that came out last year, while also managing to combine all of Hollywood’s worst fears. Two low-rent stoners stealing the show from a hammy Hugh Jackman? Check. Jokes about bootleg copies of theatrical releases being sold for cheap in Chinatown? Check. Somebody pointing out that The Reader and Doubt were unintentionally hilarious? Check.
Without further ado, here’s Pineapple Express‘ James Franco and Seth Rogen, as well as Oscar-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski. “Hey, Kaminski! Wanna come hang with us?”
