The trailer for the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still has made its way online, allowing all of us to bask in its Keanu-y glory. I’m fairly embarrassed to note that I’ve somehow never seen the original, but I’m pretty sure that’s going to have to be rectified sometime between now and December.
Also, I like Keanu Reeves. There. I said it.

UPDATE: So apparently Fox keeps yanking these trailers down–because, you know, god forbid people actually watch their advertising. (Whoever made this decision must’ve been inspired by the marketing genius behind the Benjamin Button trailer.) Anyway, all the videos I can find keep coming back as “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Twentieth Century Fox,” so, um… yeah. Never mind, I guess. Nice one, Fox.

Keanu Reeves must have a great agent. He keeps landing these incredible roles…just when you think his career must be done, he comes up with something like this.
“You should let me go…”

“We’re sorry, this video is no longer available.”
Argh. Fixed, for now at least. Thanks for the heads up, paulcone.
Fuck. Never mind. Fox is shutting down all of these trailers, apparently. Not sure how long this link will be relevant (probably not for long), but for now, the trailer is still up at http://the-day-the-earth-stood-still-trailer.blogspot.com/.
Really great marketing decision, Fox. Really.
Love it!
Just watched demo of guy interrogating Keanu. He worked on my friend’s film.
