Happy birthday to Fiona Apple, born on this day in 1977. Ms. Apple has made some very good music and will hopefully make more in the future.   3. Pederasty is NOT a word to be used alternately with pedophilia. I’ve seen this done twice in this newspaper in a brief time. The defintion, from Dictionary.com, “sexual relations between two males, esp. when one of them is a minor. ” In this post, you’re clearly referring to women and girls. Is this some kind of way of projecting female sexual abuse onto gay men or just a dumb malapropism? Whichever it is, I hope the Mercury does not ever make the mistake again.
