Prepare for summer’s impending (and blessed) arrival with the Mercury‘s June playlist, a selection of songs from Portland artists releasing new albums and touring acts passing through town this month.
Enjoy the glorious outdoors at Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer tour stop at Edgefield (if you were lucky enough to snag tickets, it’s now sold out), or seek air-conditioned comfort at the subterranean Doug Fir while basking in the gargantuan guitar riffs of Speedy Ortiz. There are also a few great local albums coming out this month, namely self-described gray-pop band Floating Room’s False Baptism and guitar maestro Marisa Anderson’s Cloud Corner.
