Just to get your weekend started off WRONG, here’s an unplugged version of Rebecca Black’s monster internet sensation “Friday” from Good Morning, America in which Rebecca has trouble remembering the words to her own stupid song, and a male viewer bails within 20 seconds—for obvious reasons. Think the original couldn’t be worse? THINK AGAIN.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. ^^the key word being “parody” genius. Think about it….actually, no, don’t. We would’nt want you to cause yourself needless cerebral trauma

  2. The “male viewer” that bailed is her producer, the owner of ARK Music Factory…. and I would not be too hard on her. she is 13, she didnt write the music or lyrics, she is being used and that is incredibly sad. Sadder than how horrid the music is.

  3. Ick. Ish. Gack. “Party-in, party-in, lookin forward to the weekend … tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards.” Whoops, there it goes. My head just exploded.

  4. I was surprised she could actually sing without auto tune. Her voice is not great, but she’s hitting the right notes. REAL TALENT!! THE NEXT POP SUPERSTAR!!
