Next month marks 15 years of PDX Pop Now!, the city’s beloved free, all-ages music festival. Its longevity is well worth celebrating, especially given the recent changes with other Portland-area festivals.
The only major difference with this year’s PDX Pop Now! is that it’ll take place over two days rather than three: Saturday July 21 & 22 at AudioCinema (beneath the Hawthorne Bridge). But those two days are crammed with excellent local music, from rapper/producer Fountaine to soul legend Ural Thomas and the Pain to mystical “witch folk” duo Lenore to post-punkers Miss Rayon.
