  • This year’s Pickathon will include Kamasi Washington and Wolf People.

Pickathon made three big announcements this morning: The first is a handful of exciting additions to the lineup of the 2015 festival. (Check out our reports of their initial lineup announcements from earlier this yearโ€”part uno and part deux.) Modern/free-jazz lynchpin (and Kendrick Lamar collaborator) Kamasi Washington will be appearing at Pendarvis Farm for Pickathon weekend, along with California folk/country act the Easy Leaves and Portland musicians Liz Vice and Jackson Boone. Washington is a big addition to the already packed lineup, further expanding the broad musical scope of the festival. (A collaboration with Thundercat might happen, too, if hopeful tweets are to be believed.)

Secondly, Pickathon made single-day tickets available for sale on their site. Want to see Ty Segall but have a wedding that same weekend (July 30-August 2)? Need to catch Tune-Yards but have to pick up the in-laws at the airport the next morning? Pickathon’s got you covered.

And thirdlyโ€”get out your calendarsโ€”they announced the day-to-day schedule for the festival, telling you who’s playing on what stage and when. This year’s PDF eschews the previously established grid method, which makes it a little tough to determine who exactly is playing at the same time, but you shouldn’t have too trouble plotting your weekend around the gratuitous amount of must-sees: Washington, Happyness, Ryley Walker, Wand, Viet Cong, Leon Bridges, Langhorne Slim, Ex Hex, Kevin Morby, the list goes on and on.

The best part of them releasing the schedule is the information that Wolf Peopleโ€”the greatest rock band in the Northern Hemisphere and I will fight you on wolfback with Fury Road-style flamethrower guitars if you disagreeโ€”will be performing not twice but three times at Pickathon, including a set during Pickathon’s special pre-entry Thursday night at 7 pm on the newly relocated Treeline Stage. Wolf People’s other sets are at 1 am in the Galaxy Barn on Friday night, and at 6 pm on the Woods Stage on Sunday, so plan accordingly. If you spend the weekend at Pickathon and miss all three of these sets, you probably shouldn’t tell me.

Check out the schedule and download the PDF on Pickathon’s site, or click the jump and take a look.
