As you wait on the edge of your chair for Pickathon’s 2020 lineup to be announced, reminisce about 2019 with this video of folk duo Mandolin Orangeโ€”comprised of married couple Andrew Marlin (vocals, mandolin, guitar, banjo) and Emily Frantz (vocals, violin, guitarโ€”playing “Suspended In Heaven” at the Starlight Stage last year.

While Pickathon has notably diversified their bills in the last few years, the North Carolina-based duo’s live set is exactly the kind of country sound you’d expect to hear at a festival set on a quaint farm in the middle of the forest. Even if Americana/folk isn’t your thing, it’s hard not to feel lulled into relaxation by this live, late-night rendition of the song, which first appeared on the duo’s album Tides of a Teardrop.

Make sure to also check out some of the other top-notch live performance videos from the Starlight Stage series, taken at Pickathon 2019.
