BP says its big riser pipe is cut. Er…
Yesterday they tried to saw through the pipe but the saw got stuck. “Anyone who’s ever used a saw has experienced this,” said Adm. Thad Allen. Yeah, it happens to those of use who buy the shitty Ryobi from Home Depot and don’t know what we’re doing.
An American citizen was among the people killed by an Israeli raid on a flotilla bound for Gaza. Now does the US government have to pretend it cares about the incident?
The desert hag is at the White House!
When you ask, “Is Rod Blagojevich‘s trial going to be a circus,” it had better be a rhetorical question. OF COURSE IT WILL BE.
AT&T is ceasing its unlimited data plans for smartphones. This was upsetting news to me because it required me to remember the fact that my smartphone costs a lot of money.
Nokia announces a bike-powered cell phone charger. This one should do well in rural Kenya and in Portland.
Portland’s red-tailed hawks are up to their adorable window-kamikaze hijinks again. You can spy on their shit-covered nest on a downtown fire escape.
Portland Public Schools Superintendent Carole Smith… HEY! WAKE UP!!! THIS IS IMPORTANT! …revises her high school redesign plan and suggests keeping Benson open as a smaller, four-year program.
Aaaand a bullet factory blows up. RATATATTTATAT!!!!

GOOD MORNING STEFAN! HOW ARE YOU? I SAW THE SUN THIS MORNING. THAT WAS EXCITING.
ME TOO GRAHAM. I AM FINE THANKS. HOW ARE YOU?
GOOD MORNING GRAHAM, STEFAN. I’M ALSO HAPPY ABOUT THIS SUNSHINE.

Then you should be happy about AT&T’s new data plans. If you’re one of the 65% of customers that uses less than 200MB of data, you’ll pay $15 less with the 200MB plan. If you’re one of the 98% of customers that uses less than 2 GB of data, you’ll pay $5 less with the 2 GB plan.
Nobody hates AT&T more than me, but this is a good thing.
GOOD MORNING YOU GUYS I MISSED THE SUNSHINE 🙁
@ KIALA: HOW? I THOUGHT YOU LIVED IN AN AIRSHIP ABOVE THE CLOUDS.
Those Red-Tailed Hawks are super cool! I just toured the Port of Portland where I learned that these hawks are used at the Airport: 1. because they are smart enough to stay out of the way of planes, and 2. they are territorial so they chase away other plane-wrecking birds. (The airport is also careful about the landscaping. They choose native species that are unattractive to birds).
