Hillsboro is hiring a new police chief, with applications due in September. It’s unclear who’s been applying so far, but it’s pretty clear the rank-and-file really wants their new boss to be “funny.”

You seem to have missed the point. It isn’t those that have already retired, it’s those that are eligible to retire but haven’t because they haven’t found that prime retirement job yet. Pretty much any of the current assistant chiefs at PPB.

One of these officers routinely harasses me via drunk texting (one as early as last week), has illegally run background checks on my family and friends, used her position as an officer to denigrate me to my children’s teacher’s and school staff. She is my ex-husband’s wife. So I think the city of Hillsboro hires lunatics.
