Guy who bites lip and hides boner when he talks about the time he killed a man in Vietnam says his views arent compatible with Democrats.
He’s considering a run as an independent. He also thinks the confederate flag should still be flying above capitol buildings in the South. United States Senate

Last we heard of Jim Webb he was talking about how we weren’t hearing enough from him during the first Democratic debate last Tuesday. At one point, he tried to hide his boner while alluding to the fact that he’d killed a combatant during the Vietnam War. Glad he’s finally coming to terms with that, and in such a healthy, public way.

But now, Politico reports, Webb has decided to end his run as a Democratic candidate. He’s thinking about running as an independent, and is, according to Politico, apparently under the illusion that he could beat Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in a general election if he does.

Hah. Fucking. Hah. Webb is a gun nut in a moment when the majority of Americans want to pass reasonable regulations on guns. He’s a guy who thinks the confederate soldiers who were willing to risk their lives for the sake of enslaving others were “misunderstood,” in an era when that idea is starting to be more untenable and being challenged, rightfully, wherever it’s found. He’s a self-described warrior with a xenophobic foreign policy (he doesn’t think the US should do anything about climate change because China and India are the REAL problem, he thinks cyber warfare with China is the greatest security threat to the nation, etc. etc.) in an time when Americans want out of Afghanistan and want to play less of a role in international conflicts.

He’s pro-gun, pro-“heritage,” and pro-hoorah. He bows at the feet of America’s war machine. That’s the Lindsey Graham strategy, and it doesn’t seem to be working out so well for him. He’s polling under 1 percent.
