– A coalition of Native American tribes is suing the federal government for missing the April deadline to send a promised $8 billion in coronavirus relief funds to native communities.
– Donald Trump accused the Chinese government Sunday for ignoring the “fire” of COVID-19 until it was too late—effectively blaming China for the pandemic’s spread. Know of anyone else who waited far too long to take the virus seriously?

– The US Supreme Court is holding its oral arguments over the phone, a historic first for the court. Tune in!
– Gov. Kate Brown announced Friday the start of a sweeping state-wide study to track the potentially undetected spread of COVID-19 in non-symptomatic Oregonians. Later that day, Brown extended Oregon’s state of emergency declaration to July 6. The original declaration was set to expire this week.
– On Saturday, hundreds of Oregonians flocked to the State Capitol to protest the statewide closures based on COVID-19. Protesters gathered in tight clusters, carrying pro-Trump banners and firearms. Few wore masks.
– A Multnomah County judge denied a request Friday—made by mayoral candidate Sarah Iannarone—to prohibit Mayor Ted Wheeler’s campaign from spending donations that violate the city’s newly-upheld donation limitations.
So that makes TWO city candidates blatantly lying or misrepresenting endorsements in mailers to voters.
