GOOD MORNING, BLOGTOWN! What would it take for you to just leave with me? Not tryin’ to sound conceited, but me and you were meant to be (yeah). LET’S GO TO PRESS.
Events are still rapidly changing in Paris, France where on Friday 129 people were killed and over 300 injured in a terrorist attack. Here’s what we know so far.
According to officials, the best bet for the mastermind who was behind the Paris attack is Belgium extremist Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who belongs to a Syrian terror organization and a Belgian sleeper cell.
Here are the faces of some of the victims.
The French government has responded with airstrikes against known Syrian terrorist locations—though not many have been killed because the terrorists anticipated the attack. They are also doing house to house searches, and will be extending their state of emergency to three months.
A new video from Islamic State is now threatening America as well, saying we can expect the same fate as France if we continue airstrikes against terrorist compounds in Syria.
President Obama is defending his administration’s strategy to defeat ISIS against international journalists who claim he has let the terrorist organization flourish.
Close to 100 Portlanders attended a vigil Sunday at PSU to show love and support for the victims and survivors of the Paris terrorist attack.
Here are images of people from around the world standing in solidarity with France.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spoken out against dickhead fans who interrupted the NFL’s moment of silence for the victims of the Paris tragedy by screaming “Muslims suck.”
Okay, obviously there are a lot of Republican dickheads saying very stupid things about this attack and what we should do about it… so let’s get them all out of the way quickly, and then ignore them. Some hillbilly governors are refusing to accept Syrian refugees in their state; presidential candidate Sen. Lindsay Graham is promising another 9/11 if we don’t send ground forces into Syria; Trump labels all Syrian refugees as a “Trojan horse”; and prez candidate Marco Rubio basically agrees that we should let fear rule the day… because that worked out SO WELL after 9/11, didn’t it?
