Huzzah! The spring issue of True Parent magazine hits the streets today with more advice, news, harrowing true stories, and comedy. For those just joining us, True Parent is an antidote to those cutesy, unrealistic parenting magazines (whose sole purpose seems to be selling adorable diaper bags), and focuses primarily on the happiness and sanity of parents—instead of the kids (who tend to be happy if the parents are happy). Our focus is on the wide range of young, working class parents, celebrating their diversity, and assisting with the challenges they face. Here are just a few of the stories you’ll find in the new spring issue of True Parent magazine.

PRISON MOM
The true story of a single mom’s release from prison, and the reunion with her child who she barely knows.

PAID SICK LEAVE
Oregon parents desperately need it… what’s the state doing to help low-income families?

GIRLS AND GAMING
Want to do something about the way women are treated in the gaming industry? Here’s an organization that’s doing something about it… starting with our teens.

ASK THE PARENT
A distraught dad hates his teenage daughter’s new boyfriend’s guts. What to do? Teen expert Dr. Laura Kastner weighs in.

SCREEN TIME FOR KIDS
How too much of it might not actually turn your child into a super villain.

SEXY TIME
Kids can be real libido murderers. Here’s how one parent got her mojo back.

PLUS!
Child haters, HPV vaccines, co-parenting for divorcees, comedy, advice, and much more!
