We’ve blogged about the store before, but perhaps not about the window displays. Every time I venture over to N Mississippi, I make sure and check out the amazing displays at Sunlan Lighting. Right now they’re boasting an alarmingly expansive collection of Star Wars Legos.

Unfortunately, when I went to inquire about the selection, Kay Newell (aka The Light Bulb Lady) was in a heated discussion about the mark-up on LEDs, so I couldn’t get the back story.

- In January, there were these tiki figures.
And in December, I saw the most frenzied collection of mechanical Santas and Mrs. Clauses that I have ever seen.
Plus, there are always these resident ducks facing off with their velvet helmets, along with the trolls in the background, fixing to eat their donut dinner.


There is a sign in the window noting the owner of the collection, how long he has been collecting them, and the fact they are not for sale. It is right there under the “empire” poster.

What about the markup on the LEDs? More investigation, please.

A metric ton? Or an imperial ton? This is the kind of detail that an intern MUST include and MUST GET RIGHT.
