I missed the quarterfinal game between the U.S. and Brazil, but it looks like it was amazing. Full highlights here and here, but bottom line: The U.S. won in a shootout after last-minute, game-tying header and now, according to ESPN, “the title is theirs to lose.”

Up next for the U.S. team: A semifinal game against France on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Pacific (on ESPN or ESPN3).

  1. Megan Rapinoe was *that* close to being a goat for her lousy play on Sunday. But then she delivered that amazing cross (w/ her left foot !), so all is forgiven.

  2. @TSW she was dogging it the entire game; her passes were short, her crosses long, and her corners were lacking

watch on wednesday, if MR plays like she did on sunday, we’re doomed. France ain’t going to melt down like Brazil

  3. She didn’t have the best game up until the cross but she was far from a scapegoat. She overcommits, and that made her look very bad against an individually skilled team like Brazil.

Hmm. So the US chances hinge on her play tomorrow. Is she your ex or something? Does the bitch still owe you 50 bucks for your last phone bill?
