Let’s get that Dame DOLLA mixtape already.
Damian Lillard, point guard for the Blazers, just dropped a new track today—his first full-length, stand-along track. It’s called “Soldier in the Game,” and it features Lillard’s verses over a beat from Future’s “F*ck Up Some Commas.”
Lillard’s prowess as a rapper is self-evident, and his #4barfriday hashtag (trend? meme? what do we call this?) saw lots of NBA players showing off their skills. But arguably none were as facile as Lillard, and his new track indicates that his talent exists far beyond the hardwood.
Lillard has said in interviews that he’s planning on dropping a mixtape, and eventually an album. “Soldier in the Game”—a look at the competition and drive that characterizes his life both on and off the court—makes plain that neither of these would be an unwelcome proposition. More of this please, Dame.

Guys, it’s my birthday for twenty more minutes and I’m super drinky, so I’m using whats left of my birthday credits to say that i don’t care for this in the slightest.
I mean, the piano loop was nice for a while, but the rest is just horrid. I guess he’s pleased with himself, maybe?
Sorry. I’m going to eat some pizza. G’NIGHT!
