According to Yahoo! News, Republicans had a secret weapon they were considering dropping into this year’s GOP convention: a Ronald Reagan hologram. The hologram—which was designed by the same company who made the Tupac hologram at Coachella—was supposedly ready to make its debut in Tampa and cause every Republican in sight to squirt a gleeful load into their underpants… BUT!

However, Reynolds says he discussed the idea with a number of Republican activists who asked him to delay the project out of concerns it would overshadow Mitt Romney’s acceptance speech.

“At the time he hadn’t chosen Paul Ryan, so I think they were a little worried about his energy,” Reynolds said. “Even in a hologram form I think Reagan’s going to beat a lot of people in terms of communicating.”

See? Some Republicans are smart!

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
