Things are gonna get bazonkers for tomorrow’s 8 pm matchup between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders because… well, I suppose we’ve only kind of sort of disliked Seattle in recent years, probably because now we’re super awesome, and they’re only kinda awesome. So this is the perfect opportunity to refresh our I-5 rivalry!

If you can’t make the trip, either watch the game with the Timbers Army at The Bagdad (poor Bagdad) starting at 8 pm (doors at 5:30), or at the “team viewing party” at the Thirsty Lion (71 SW 2nd Ave, 8-10 pm).
OR, even better yet, follow the action at home on ESPN2 with our resident Timbers correspondent/fanatic Brian “Pronounced Just Like It’s Spelled” Gjurgevich as he live blogs all the action from on site in Seattle right here on Blogtown!

(I say if we win, we get to chop down the Space Needle.)

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
