In this interview with Jimmy Fallon, Girls auteur Lena Dunham describes the crush she had on the host when she was 15, that SURPRISE! Gets increasingly freaking WEIRD. Watching Jimmy trying to maintain a “it’s cool!” face is priceless… because this definitely isn’t “cool.”

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. Am I the only one who first read this post as: “Today in AWWWKWARD! Jeff Dunham on Jimmy Fallon”?
This chick is only slightly less annoying than the puppet guy.

  2. You’d think he’d better at keeping his cool and just going with it. I guess I listen to too many improv-based comedy podcasts. Other comedians would have gone to town with this material.

  3. In his defense, having to look at Lena Dunham square in the face is going to be hard for anyone, regardless of topic.

  4. Ahh, big poop on all of you. She’s amazingly awesome, as is the bulk of her show. She was so genuinely charming on Bill Simmons’ podcast. I don’t care what she looks like, I’d take a million Lena Dunham’s in real life and on tv over the generically pretty, marginally talented lot that populates most shows.
