One of the big summer TV events on the horizon is M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines on Fox, and here’s the new trailer. Shyamalan—or as I like to call him, “Plots McTwisty”—has fallen out of favor with many of us, but this news series could be a return to form for the director of The Sixth Sense, and has an all-star (well, all b-list star) cast of pretty interesting actors. Wayward Pines seems to be the perfect suburb—except for the fact that everyone seems a bit too happy, you always have to answer the phone every time it rings, and no one is ever allowed to leave. (In other words… TIGARD.) Check out the trailer for Wayward Pines, debuting May 14th on Fox.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. That looks like every twilight zone episode smashed together. You can probably guess the story arc of each episode before the title sequence starts.

  2. Who else thinks that M. Night Shyamalan is probably funneling some of his fortune into a pristine mountain town, isolated from the rest of the modern world?
