Thursday, June 25, may see the opening of Portland’s most
anticipated juice bar. Beaker and Flask (720 SE Sandy) announced
via Twitter last week that they would open next Thursday “booze
or no booze,” rather than waiting for the Oregon Liquor Control
Commission to finish with liquor licensing procedures. So the cocktail
list from Kevin Ludwig, Tim Davey, and Lance Mayhew may take a backseat
to the cuisine of Ben Bettinger for now. No word on when a liquor
license might be finalized.
